Props{AMC} is an integrated platform to establish the underlying real estate asset’s periodic financial performance, transparency along with access to key information, for complied and faster transaction.

The Role

Looking for a seasoned, passionate, and hands-on Engineering Manager to drive the development programs at PropsAMC . You will play an important role in the success of the team and accountable for managing the activity of development and quality to build appropriate technological solutions to meet the business expectation. You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy, ability to look in to big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality.

You will be joining a talented, collaborative team at the forefront of exciting new ventures in the real estate analytics and asset management space. Our ideal candidate will bring to the table a passion for creating elegant and functional user experiences.

Responsibilities

• Be a highly technical, hands-on manager for a team of 5 – 7 full stack engineers.
• Responsible for the product engineering roadmap with a focus on performance, scale, and quality for products used by millions of users across desktop, mobile web and apps.
• Own and drive technical discussions and have strategic tech influence.
• Communicate cross-functionally, collaborate with Business teams, Product managers, engineers and QA to plan and own and deliver solutions on time.
• Work with CTO to define best practices for development and champion their adoption and at the same time.
• Perform well in a fluid environment, fast-paced environment.
• Drive automated solutions that enable better efficiency and process improvement
• Ability to negotiate and manage systems development scope and changes in the context of the business environment.
• Excellent teamwork skills, flexibility, and ability to handle multiple tasks
• Demonstrated track record in building and recruiting high-performance teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Requirements

• Overall 6 to 8 years of experience in software product development with at least 2 years as an Engineering Manager.
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong history managing team of Sr. engineers, engineers, and coaching and mentoring while maintaining a hands-on role with development.
• Experience working with Product Managers, and in an agile environment.
• Strong experience in Python/Django, PostgreSQL, NoSQL, memcache, Redis, Elasticsearch, HTML5/CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery, Bootstrap etc. programming and debugging skills
• Prior experience with scalable, high-performance Architecture
• Expertise in web application security and secure coding practices
• Experience in tools and techniques for automated testing, building and deploying the application
• Expert in Distributed Systems and Cloud Technologies
• Experience and ability to bring in software engineering life cycle best practices.

Bonus points

• Write software for fun and have worked on projects of your own that you can demo
• Understanding and in a few cases mastery of agile tools and concepts
• Experience in GIS Applications – using PostGIS features of PostgreSQL
• Experience in responsive web design
• Mobile development (Native or Cross-Platform – preferably React Native)
