The Role
An opportunity has arisen for a React Developer to join one of the UK’s most comprehensive PropTech companies. The brand has over 55 million visits each month and 94% brand awareness in the UK, they are currently building a team that will have an incredible opportunity to re-imagine technology for the everyday user.
The React Developer will have an amazing opportunity to work on a renovation project, moving an outdated site into an innovative SPA all built in the latest version of React.
The role itself will be focused on coding in the best HTML, CSS and JavaScript practices, using React as a framework to create stable, performant and observable applications and features with a little AWS thrown in too.
Responsibilities
- The Front End is supported with services in Golang, Python, Node.js and .NET Core and the React Developer will be working alongside server-side engineers’ day today.
- In the role as a React Developer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing new architectures and technical strategies whilst maintaining a test first thinking approach, using clean code and pair programming.
- Meeting with the development team to discuss user interface ideas and applications.
- Monitoring and improving front-end performance.
- Documenting application changes and developing updates.
- Developing and implementing highly responsive user interface components using react concepts.
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a react.js developer.
- In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and front-end languages.
- Knowledge of REACT tools including React.js, Webpack, Enzyme, Redux, and Flux.
- Experience with user interface design.
- Experience with browser-based debugging and performance testing software.
- Worked using agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban.
They are looking for a React Developer so teaching others, influencing the team and organisation is a big part of the role too. You will be joining a diverse team of 10 Front End developers, although they have a big tech team overall. In terms of culture, you can expect a tech-first, agile environment. With a lot of emphases placed on good design, data-informed teams and most importantly a customer-centric approach.
