The Role 

As  Junior Sales Engineer your initial focus will be supporting the needs of the Sales and Business Development team.

This is a great opportunity for learning and growth. Initially, this role will be focused on supporting the sales team members through research, setting up templates, organizing collateral and case studies. Therefore we expect you to have a strong eye for detail, structure and organization.

As this role continues there will be significant opportunity to learn and develop more fully into the sales engineering or business development areas.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with the Sales and Business Development team to define their most urgent needs.
  • Set up templates to enable them to deliver quotes or contracts more efficiently
  • Support marketing with details for upcoming email campaigns.
  • Research companies, and potential leads, compiling the information for our management team.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external teams to ensure case studies are relevant to our customers’ needs.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of project managers, electricians, engineers, and implementation specialists to ensure projects are completed on time.
  • Collaborate with the sales team throughout contract negotiations: provide informative updates in regards to deliverables and timelines to ensure smooth project implementation during the life of the project.
  • Collaborate with the sales team during qualifying stages to define customer requirements and gather customer documentation to provide accurate project quotes.
  • Assist internal hardware & software teams in defining requirements for product functionalities.
  • Assess customer installation requirements and communicate those needs to implementation teams.
  • Deliver accurate, regular, timely project status reports and forecasting to company leadership.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s  Engineering or relevant field.
  • 1-2+ years’ experience in  Sales Engineering or a similar role.
  • Experience working with marketing, sales, and technical teams to complete the implementation cycle.
  • Ability to empathize with customer needs and pain points.
  • Ability to unify support from different teams to achieve an end-to-end goal.
  • Are willing to communicate with customers in many different time zones.
  • Speak fluent business English.
